Perform GDPR Chapter 5 Transfer Impact Assessments within Unicis Platform.

The Transfer Impact Assessment (TIA) module helps organizations comply with Chapter 5 of the GDPR by assessing whether personal data transfers to third countries meet adequate data protection standards.

Under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), Clause 14 requires parties to conduct a Transfer Impact Assessment to verify that the transfer mechanism under Articles 45 et seq. of the GDPR effectively ensures an adequate level of data protection in the destination country. If a TIA is not carefully drafted, the SCCs could become void, leading to an unauthorized transfer of personal data from the EU to a third country and potential GDPR fines.

Add a TIA

A Transfer Impact Assessment can only be added via a Task in the Transfer Impact Assessment tab.

  1. Open a task and click Register a Transfer Impact Assessment
  2. Complete all 5 steps by clicking Next
  3. Required fields are marked with a red star

Steps:

  1. Describe the intended transfer scenario
  2. Determine the scenarios of problematic lawful access that are relevant
  3. Determine factors that indicate a risk of problematic lawful access
  4. Determine probability of a problematic lawful access
  5. Conclusion

Edit

Edit an assessment from the dashboard by clicking Actions → Edit.

Delete

Delete an assessment from the dashboard by clicking the Delete button.

Activity Logs

Access audit logs by opening the associated task, then navigating to Audit Logs → TIA Audit Logs.
